Lina Schäfer has been part of the AFC Consulting team at CURENTIS AG since November 2021 and uses her extensive expertise in the areas of project management and Know Your Customer in a targeted manner. She is also completing her master's degree in general management as part of a distance learning program.

Why did you choose CURENTIS?

After the first joint discussions with CURENTIS AG, I realized that many of the factors I would like to see in a potential employer were fulfilled. The strong focus on employee training, the assumption of responsibility, and the great interest in joint progress motivated me to switch to CURENTIS AG.

What are your tasks and what does your daily work look like?

My daily work is divided into two areas.

On the one hand, the daily project work at the customer is on my daily schedule. Currently, I am supporting an internationally operating bank in the area of sanctions verification as well as transaction monitoring and thus get the opportunity to gain valuable new experience and knowledge in these core topics of anti-money laundering.

On the other hand, I work on internal CURENTIS topics that enable me to further advance the business development of CURENTIS. Most recently, I updated the online web seminar series in the area of anti-financial crime and kept an eye out for new potential training topics.

What makes CURENTIS special or exciting for you?

At CURENTIS AG, I get the opportunity to deal with new topics and gain further experience. Colleagues get to know each other at various team events and you get the latest updates about the company and further joint action. Despite working from home, it is possible to work and grow together as a team.
