That is CURENTIS. This is WE.

Why CURENTIS?
To be honest, I came across CURENTIS by chance. After completing my bachelor's degree at Fontys University of Applied Science, I was looking for a permanent position in the field of money laundering prevention and anti-financial crime. I developed the enthusiasm for this during my bachelor internship. There I worked within Compliance in the Second Line of Defense of a large international bank. I really enjoyed it and was able to get enthusiastic about this professional field. So I applied to different companies that were looking for such a vacancy. While researching suitable positions, I came across CURENTIS. I liked the job description and it matched what I had in mind, so I sent out an application. When Ralf Penndorf then gave me positive feedback from within less than an hour, I had a good feeling and an interview date.
The interview three days later with Ralf and the AFC team leaders Jan-Ole Vietz and Dominik Schick was very positive and took place in a very congenial atmosphere. During the interview, they told me about the various training opportunities and the varied projects that were open to me at CURENTIS.
What do your tasks consist of and what does your daily work look like?
The work is very versatile due to the different projects. In my last project, I worked in the area of KYC remediation for a private bank in Luxembourg. There I took care of KYC relevant audit topics. Currently I am working again in Frankfurt for another private bank as a "KYC Officer". Here I support and advise the bank with my know-how in KYC relevant activities. I am also writing a whitepaper in the area of cryptocurrencies and anti-money laundering together with my colleague Shatlyk Nunnayev.
What is your favorite way to spend your free time?
In addition to my passion for anti-money laundering and anti-financial crime issues, I also have a second great passion, American football. I got into football through a classmate who took me to practice with him. At the moment I play for the Ruesselsheim Crusaders as a defensive lineman in the regional league. Football has accompanied me all my life and combines many important attributes that can also be found in the professional world of a consultant. Teamwork, determination, assertiveness and not being afraid to make decisions.
Which came first - chicken or egg?
The egg, for sure!
What is your motto in life?
A quote that accompanies me again and again, especially when I moved from Krefeld to Frankfurt, as well as in my sport, is "Life begins outside your comfort zone".
It is so important to break out of your comfort zone again and again and to face new challenges and tasks. In this way, you reach new horizons, dare to do more and grow.
