This is CURENTIS. This is US.
Sebastian Reusch has been working as a Principal Consultant at CURENTIS Luxembourg since July 2023. After studying computer science at the University of Applied Sciences in Trier and gaining initial experience as a software developer, Sebastian has been working as an IT consultant in the Luxembourg financial center for more than 13 years. His area of expertise includes the implementation of complex core banking systems in various areas. A few years ago, Sebastian shifted his focus to the area of payment transactions and has since been supporting clients in setting up payment systems as well as in regulatory and legally required migrations of message standards.
Why did you choose CURENTIS?
The decision in favor of CURENTIS was made quickly and for several reasons.
The fact that the company is actively seeking to strengthen its presence in the local financial sector not only offers exciting career prospects, but also demonstrates its commitment to sustainable growth.
I also have the opportunity to work in an environment where hierarchies are minimized, which leads to open communication and efficient collaboration. This way of working makes it possible to exchange ideas quickly and develop innovative solutions.
Another plus point for me is the opportunity to be actively involved in decisions. CURENTIS promotes a culture in which employees are not just seen as performers, but as co-creators.
What do your tasks consist of and what does your daily work look like?
Currently, I am mainly focusing on supporting our customers with various migrations in the area of SEPA and SWIFT payments. This includes adapting to far-reaching changes in the message formats, which are based on a modern ISO standard.
At the same time, I am actively working on expanding our business in Luxembourg. My good network and the insight into the Luxembourg financial sector that I have gained over the years help me to do this.
What does your dream travel destination look like?
My dream destination combines a fascinating mountain world, active experiences and culinary delights. That's why I'm drawn to Austria or South Tyrol year after year. Whether it's idyllic hikes in the Dolomites or exploring the trails in the bike parks of the Austrian Alps, I always look forward to the authentic local cuisine in the evening.
What came first? Chicken or egg?
The egg, of course.
