This is CURENTIS. This is US.
Pia Aldehoff has been working as an Anti Financial Crime Consultant for CURENTIS AG since July 2023. After training and studying in the hospitality and tourism industry and some work experience in the administrative area of an online marketing agency, she decided to make a lateral move into banking consulting.
Why did you choose CURENTIS AG?
In my search for a new challenge, I quickly became aware of the banking sector and was very enthusiastic about Anti Financial Crime from the very first second. It was clear to me that I definitely wanted to start here. While searching for suitable entry-level jobs, I came across CURENTIS AG. The advertised trainee position appealed to me immediately. Work from home in my beloved Munich combined with regular team events and customer projects in my favorite city, Frankfurt? Jackpot. And the whole thing combined with an incredibly quick, personal and simple application process. After just one week, I already had a signed contract and nothing stood in the way of my start!
What do your tasks consist of and what does your daily work look like?
In my last project, I supported the introduction of a securities order tool and the creation of a KYC questionnaire for auditing mutual funds.
I also work on a number of internal projects on various topics:
- How can we improve our KYC tool and increase usability?
- How do I optimize the website in terms of search engine optimization and usability?
- To what extent do Google Ads and social media help us to increase our reach?
I can use the skills I have learned in advance but also demonstrate my newly acquired skills in KYC or software testing.
In addition, my daily schedule often includes internal training courses as well as training and certifications from external providers. There are also regular coordination meetings with my team lead to review my learning progress and resolve any ambiguities.
What is your dream destination?
New York. Like Frankfurt - only bigger! The Frankfurt skyline never ceases to amaze me (even though I was there 15 times last year for business and pleasure). Frankfurt is a rather small city, which is why I'm excited to visit New York and discover the whole thing on a large scale.
What is your motto in life?
Just do it - it could turn out well!
